    "HI" from Hex

    Apparently, I was told I should introduce myself. But what to say?

    I ride a 1990 Honda ST1100. I've been riding for quite a while. I've loved motorcycles since forever. My husband and all three of my kids ride. There is no room in our garage for cars as the five motorcycles get those premium parking spots!

    Usually, we go on a "big" ride every summer. Two years ago was the New England States....in the middle of Hurricane Dolly. I would recommend it without the hurricane. Not sure what this year's ride will be. Suggestions?

    Welcome aboard. Stay away from the Gap.. They've upped their revenue-generating efforts. WV is another place to avoid, with extremely harsh penalties for relatively minor infractions. In Ohio a "trained" officer can guess your speed to be whatever he wants it to be and not even GPS evidence can exonerate you from the predicament. Imagine the potential of nailing a family of 5... That could cover a deputy's monthly salary

    I know, eh? I have my own "bike gang." I always believed in teaching my kids to enjoy their lives as safely as possible while still having crazy fun. Therefore, since my husband and I weren't willing to give up riding, each of the kids got the motorcycle course for their 16th birthday present. However, they had all been dirt biking since about the age of four.

    Oh BTW, my mother flipped when she found out I was riding. No biggy, I'm the black sheep of the family anyway. What's one more thing to get yelled at about?

    My kids might disagree with you. In fact, I'm sure they would. Thanks for the compliment.

    BTW, I have an awesome 20-year-old who is available. He's a great cook too. Hope he doesn't find out I'm playing "matchmaker." This would definitely make me totally uncool.
