    technical roads

I find that there are not many technical roads in Ontario ( other the 2 turns at twyn rivers, and some the hairpin at the forks )

can someone give some pointers as to where the more challenging roads are located in Ontario??

    Re: technical roads

    Southwood Rd #13

Essonville Line #4 - leads to Wilberforce (Loop Rd)

#18 between Essonville line and Glamorgan Rd #3

    #Glamorgan Rd#3, just north of the #507

Swords Rd just south of Orville off the #518

Dunn Street -also called Kartuzy Rd (heading south from Barry’s Bay and runs just west of #62 but much better) and it eventually leads back to #62 to get to Maynooth/Elephant Lake Rd. Nice road - no traffic.

    #518 between Sprucedale and Orville

Flinton Rd: that leads to the Hwy #7; it starts just north of Kaladar

#508, #509, #511, are a little faster paced but still a nice run out near Calabogie.

    Re: technical roads

You obviously don`t ride much outside of T.O. Get out of the city and head north to the Muskokas or NE toward Calabogie. There`s even some good roads out in the NW around Cremore and the Blue Mountains. There`s also River road North that far from you.
O and Shane Let the 518 be will ya, lets keep that one to our selfs .

Good job Splash. That's all the roads I was listing and yes I was referring to the 118 near Tory Hill. The drive around Loon lake is simply spectacular. Short but sweet.

Some other good ones also include the set of Huntsville Backroads (#2,9,10), #2 Ravenscliffe Rd (south of the #518, and the 66/516 just near Barry's Bay.

    Cheers,
    Shane

    Re: technical roads

Very helpful information here. Thanks! We are going to head over to Barry's Bay from Parry Sound this summer, and I am making a note of these routes. It is hard to know from just looking on a map, which roads are going to be a great bike road. I have been trying roads from that "The Big Map of Ontario's Best Roads" which I found here at GTAMotorcycle.com last summer.

any one familiar with the steel bridge near the baysville/cedar lane exit near Bracebridge?

If you are heading south on 11 do yourself a favour and turn right just before the steel bridge where the hydro building is, think its called hwy50, its new, its smooth and its a short stint but its fantastic.
    Anyone ran it yet?
