Yes, typically track bikes with a clear title carries a premium on with it. I guess, it's for that possibility of either converting back to street or selling a clear titled frame in the future.

I picked up my first track bike tonight which came with a receipt and the signed ownership. This bike could be converted back to street but highly unlikely. My intention is to only use it for the track. Is it worth my time and money to transfer the ownership to my name? Will that make a big difference to someone that may want to buy the bike down the road?

Personally if it was me, I would transfer it into my name for sure. That way there can be no doubt to anyone that you actually own the bike in question. You never know what can come up
do it, a new buyer does not want a complicated ownership trail.
and do it before the hst kicks in
