Hello all!
I just got my M2 and now I play the waiting game of 60 days! What fun.
But I don't mind, this gives me time to look at a few bikes. And I think I have found one. A 2000 Honda CBR 600F4.
The problem is, the "stator" does not work. And considering that the bike is old and has 60k on it, I wanted to get a checkup with compression test as well.
I have called a few places like Cycle world and Snowcity but these guys are charing me $600+!!
So now the golden question, can the Gta Motorcylcle community suggest a cheaper mechanic shop? or just suggest how not to get hustled by these cycleshops?
I am a complete newbie(as if you can't already tell). Thanks for the help!!

Got Torque?
CBR600 F4 or the RR are decent starter bikes.
I ride an RR myself. How much money are you looking to spend on your bike?
Give you an example, i picked up my RR w/ 9800km on it for like $5000 last year.
Thats a pretty good deal if the rest of the bike is sound. I paid $3700 for a 2000 CBR F4 in mint shape with 27k on it last month. There is one kiji that is selling certified, low k for 4000. I looked at a ton before I bought mine. Many have been dropped and damaged. Good luck and happy riding.
2000 CBR F4, stock as a rock for now.
Good advice, but I want to stay away from 250s lol.

Thanks all! I hope to learn a lot from this site and hopefully have the guts to take the bike on the 401 and actually meet!
welcome!
I’d rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Welcome!
