    Flat tire

ARRGGGGgg I just notice today that my cruiser has a flat. I put new Met on them last year, cr*p , So I need advice, Should I just run with a tire plug?
    Any recommendations?
Take it to a bike shop or will a car place do as well.??

I had a flat last year. I asked people I know about a plug... got a mixed reaction from several other riders. The best response I got was "As you drive up the road at speeds of 120km/hr would you think about the plug in your tire?". I bought a new tire.

Tire plugs a temp fix but can last the life of some tires it seems! take the tire off and get a patch kit from crappy tire, fix it from the inside n your good.

I had a plug start to come out of a tire at high speed, but that was my own fault. I have a plug kit and air compressor built into the tail of my bike, I'll post a pic when I get home

I had a flat several years ago on the rear, had a plug put in and it lasted for quiet awhile (over 4000+km"s), though when I got it put in they recommended it's only a temp fix. Myself now, I wouldn't take the risk, as I've also heard stories of the plug not lasting 5km's, what I would do and recommend now is just replace the tire and don't take the risk no matter what your riding style is

Call around and see if a shop will do it. Some won't and use the opportunity to sell you new tires. Not sure if an auto shop will want to try?

As it's been suggested, pick up a repair kit from C-Tire and give it a try.

If that doesn't work, shop for a new tire(s)

    Good luck.

It depends how bad the puncture is.
Either way, a plug is temporary.
You can have the tire patched properly from the inside, it will be fine.
If it was sportbike that you might do 180kms/hr or more, i'd say replace it.

    Thanks for the replies.
this is my first flat, I thought maybe plug might have improved over the years. Sounds like a plug is just a plug.
