I wouldn't extend the oil change intervals regardless of the oil used. If you want to pay twice (or more) as much for syn, still change out by the bike's specs recommended intervals. Always.

I just Googled and found at least 5 different brands that make 50W synth...

I buy 5L of Mobil1 for about 70$, wouldn't 5L of dino oil cost about half that, and therefore would be about the same price considering the synthetic goes at least twice as far.

Overpaying for that Mobil 1, keep an eye on Walmart and C.Tire flyers and you could probably buy it for 50% less.
