2 tickets in as many days, at Deals Gap. Need info

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate luck. May I ask what dates these infractions occurred? I was there last week on tuesday and wednesday - Other than the two cruisers at the NC/TN border on 129, there wasn't a popo in sight.

We were staying in Robbinsville thursday night. Was ticketed in Wheelers parking lot, by a NC cop. He was driving a silver/black dodge charger. Wheeler came over, apologized, and told us that particular policeman has been hanging around there a lot lately.
He hides in one of the driveways off 129 between the gas station near the skyway cutoff and Wheelers on 129. We were definitly speeding and I dont dispute the charge.

Next one was on the Tennessee side of the 129, approx 1km past the resort. He had more than one person pulled over every time I went by.

Yes, that was the location that we saw the second cruiser and at the time he was fishing for bikes. He had a bike pulled over on our return trip in the afternoon...

Good luck - I hope the bit about paying your fine and the conviction staying off your record holds true.

I finally got an answer from the good folks in Tennessee.

56mph in a 30zone= $227.
Way better than I was anticipating.

BUT if I can produce a document that says I took a 3hr driver safety course that is state certified, then I can just mail them $124 and be done with it.

Anyone run a driver training center here?

Looks like you can take a course online for $20-30 and they mail you the certificate. Might be worth it to check into that.

umm.. that was my question.
I was kind of hoping to get a hookup from a site member

I called the Ontario Safety league, and am waiting for a callback. Apparantly there are quite a few driver training places that offer this service, and are certified.

Even at 227$, Im pretty relieved that it isnt a lot more.

Knightrider, I should have mentioned that it is required to be a classroom, and not an online course. Thanks anyway
