I'm an Actuarial Analyst for a Major Canadian Insurance Company. I analyse claims patterns to determine overall rate changes, as well as relative premium differences by various risk characteristics (eg. age, experience, claims, convictions, usage, etc.)
Unless it's private, please post insurance-related questions in the forum rather than sending me a PM.
Current: 2001 Suzuki GSXR1000 (4th Season)

I'm paying $1200 with 4 tickets on my GSXR 600 with statefarm. It was $800 before the tickets.

Hi
yes I have ... it comes to broker or agent for my category. I just don't really have a clue as to where I go from there. Im trying to do some more research but don't know exactly how insurances work (my car is in my moms insurance so I never really had to deal with it b4)
I would suggest you take your time. Get your license now, but wait on a bike. In a year, you would have been licensed for a year and you also would be 21. At that point your quotes may be a little more affordable. Bikes are not a cheap hobby, and the premiums can be quite high for the combination of youth and inexperience. Patience will save you a lot of money in the end, and it will also allow you to enter the scene better informed as to what your choices are.

Try TD insurance. I'm getting quoted $850 for a year for a 2008 ninja 250

Currently, $600 for a 2006 Bandit 600S Sport, this is with Economical Insurance....you may want to look them up, however been riding for long time, no accidents , no serious traffic offences.

I actually got in contact with a broker and without my m2 she said 1900 a year ... so there is light at the end of this (insurance) tunnel lol

For everyone that is posting their rates, POST YOUR AGE. For all we know you could be 138 so thats why its so cheap!
