    what supermoto to buy?

    Im looking to buy a supermoto so i can swap tires and go offroad. id like to know some stuff about reliability and power. also i want to stay under 4k-4.5k so it will probably have to be used. open to any suggestions,thanks.

    Unless you buy a legacy bike, you really have 2 street-legal SM options.. DRZ400 and WR250X.. If you're gonna do more hooliganing in the dirt, I'd go with the WRX. It's also lower maintenence. If you're planning on carrying passengers around town, no replacement for displacement. Another option would be getting a converted dirt bike that got plated in Ontario before the nanny-state went to town on us, but the maintenence will be a hell of a lot more involved than for the DRZ or the WRX.

    I actually live in alberta. thats another thing i was wondering about. what do you have to do to get a bike street legal? can you take practically any bike and convert it without doing major changes? whats required? thanks
