Welcome to the great white north, eh!
Nice ride, I have a 78 CB750 to play with and helmet laws still suck! You're right about the option. Our Countries might have different views on stuff, but when you're on 2 wheels... who cares?

    Re: Not Canadian

    Welcome!

Beer, bikes and helmets. 3 topics wtih vast different opinions.

Not sure if I'll find my way to your end of the state. I blow through Chicago on my way to Milwaukee for Summerfest so, I don't get that far southwest in Ill.

Now Wilwaukee, that is a place to sample some beer! multiple stages, 1 week, lots of music, beer gardens everywhere and a lot of fun right by the water.

It's something else to see riders without helmets when passing through Ohio. Michigan, helmets, a few miles later in OH, then none. It's amazing.

    Anyways, take care.

I don't think he said that at all, he has a valid point in regards of having the choice to wear a helmet or not, he is not putting anyone but himself in danger so it is his melon to brake.

I also don’t understand why are some of you guys been so “dickishsss” to the guy, he came here to talk motorcycles, not politics, some of us are behaving the same way as the stereotypes we make the Americans to be or maybe I'm just cranky, my apologies if that is the case.

TRJ021782, in regards to the insurance reasons for been expensive, I believe that all insurances in North America have a common pool of money they take from, for example, when the Katrina disaster happen, our insurance went up. If anyone knows how to explain this better please go ahead and feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

    Welcome

That's just for permanent importing. If as you're using it for transportation (i.e. ride on over for a visit and a beer or two), they won't look at it twice, as long as you put on a lid (legit DOT = minimum). Also, if you like to open it up, make sure you don't go more than 50km/h (30mph) over the limit, don't make too many lane changes and avoid making your tires chirp even a little bit or your bike can get taken away for a week (to a tune of $1000ish for towing/impound) and your license suspended, before you hear anything about a court date and this can also mean jail term. http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/reg...s_070455_e.htm While our premier has a Scottish last name, I'm still trying to trace his origins back to Adolf and either Joseph or Mao

I wouldn't be surprised to see Rickards come your way soon,as it's brewed by Molson, and Molson has recently been bought by Coors,so if you like Guinness and Smitwicks, you'll like the Rickards Red.

Ok I quoted this one because it was the last one, but go to sleep for 6 hours and you get like a metric f*ck ton of new replies.

To everyone - thanks for hospitality, I am glad to be here

Yettiman - yes, the Bears do suck, that is why I am a Tennessee Titans fans

To the guy that said Coors bought Molson - THATS AWESOME!! Coors is my favorite Domestic beer and Molson is the drink of choice when we do Canadian night (we have themed drinking nights)

To the guy asking about "Blago" - Yes we do sometimes call him "Blago" but mostly we call him a "slimy two faced back stabbing filthy rat bast*rd of a son of a b*itch"

    Re: Not Canadian

Hey thanks guys! I am happy to be here and I may have already found what I was looking for when I signed up. One of your comrades pointed me in the direction of an alternator rotor for my Honda for $150 (better than the $450 from the shop)

Also that beer website is sexy awesome

    Welcome!

The first beer i started to drink regularly when i was in highschool was Coors Original. I still remember going to the beer store and asking for a couple cases and they said they only had 24 left and were not supplying it in Ontario anymore!! Everytime I'm in the states its the first thing i look for. That and Cherry coke.

Again welcome to the site, now i wish i had some Coors

    Re: Not Canadian

Yeah I love Coors but being a Peoria native I have to go after some Pabst Blue Ribbon (we used to have a PBR brewery here) I guess its not fair of me though because I pretty much love just about any beer, except Sam Adams and Steele reserve those two suck

Hey thanks for all the hospitality, I just got some pics of my bike uploaded they are crap for quality but here they are.

Not to bad for only $500, but as you can see I need to clean it.
