Mental health who needs it?There is a reason you never see motorcycles infront of a therapists office.
Welcome!! And you are adding great Canadian beers to your list, make sure you add Creemore. It is brewed in the traditional German style. Excellent beer.

Welcome to the forum! It's always good to keep in contact with people across the border incase you ever decide to take a run/ride across it.. I linked up with some friendly people from NY State, who took me on a fantastic twisty run back in 2006.
Hope you enjoy your stay

No, you have it right. The newfs will eventually take over, we just don't know it yet.
Welcome
Welcome, TRJ021782. I think Illinois is a lovely state. I rode across it east-to-west in 2006, and I plan to ride across it south-to-north in 2010, but I won't be close to your fabulous and famous city.
I have been to the farthest east point of Canada, which is Cape Spear, in Newfoundland and Labrador. It is a brief ride from downtown St. John's, the provincial capital. I pitched a sample of someone's ashes off the cliff.
And the province's name is now Newfoundland and Labrador. I suppose that is to remind people that Labrador is one with Newfoundland, not Québec.
Here's an American riddle for you: which is the farthest east State in the United States of America? Here is a hint which the folks in Newfoundland and Labrador might deny (but they would be inaccurate): it is a long, long way east of Newfoundland and Labrador!

Thanks for the kind words although Peoria (and by proxy East Peoria) is a crap hole.
I have no idea what state is further east than Newfoundland, the closest I can imagine is Maine but that just barely overlaps the western border NL. . . . . so I submit, I do not know the answer to your riddle.
Odd, I don't like Honda cars or motorcycles but I bought the bike anyway
CORRECT!
The Aleutian Islands, part of Alaska, extend west and west and farther west, and they cross the 180º meridian, thus extending into the Eastern Hemisphere.
The Aleutian island with the greatest Eastern Longitude is Semisopochnoi Island.
So Alaska is the easternmost state. As I said, it is very far to the east of Newfoundland and Labrador.

to suddenly change the topic - I was watching NOVA and Arnold Schwarzenegger said "California is so small that you can hardly find it on a map". . . . . . . it is the 3rd largest state in the US, 423,970 km2 is apperantly hard to find on a map.
