so I checked out some stuff at the show today, found that I really like the Joe Rocket Textile jackets and Icon's Leather jackets. tried on some helmets too. it was really helpful so I know what to look for. thanks for the tips guys

It's good to go check out cause you have so much selection in one spot. My Joe rocket gear has held up pretty good for over 2 years. Money well spent

thanks to the recommendations in this thread, some reading on the boards, and my trip to the show I just picked up a Joe Rocket Ballistic textile jacket and some Joe Rocket gloves from kijiji for $90. Gloves have been around the block a few times, but they are still in great shape, and I don't think the guy ever wore the jacket.

now, to find a brain bucket and some boots and I'll be all set for my MSF course
