Weird. I was there about an hour ago and there was nothing.

Thanks for the heads up, didn't see them there when I was there today. Nice cycles got ride of my road bike but still have my mountain bike the inverted shocks are really cool.
I saw a bike cop doing radar in the valley about 8 years ago when I was going into town (Waterdown) on a Saturday afternoon. That's the only other time, but I've heard grumblings from the neighbours about the bikes this year. There are some noobs on Snake and York. Some of the old residents have sold because of the crematorium they're trying to rezone for. They aren't bike friendly (or at least ambivalent, like the previous owners were).
It all depends on what you want to do with it and what you want to spend. I saw a 17" 07 Kona Explosif., distress sale @ $500 recently. It was set up as a SS though.
I'm looking for a cross country bike, but it's just for messing around. Not for competition or anything.. what does SS mean? One of those bikes for jumpin off picnic tables and stuff?
I found this on Kijiji and sent the dude an email.

SS = single speed. One chainring, one sprocket, no derailleurs, just like the first bike you got when you were 5
And yes, you can spend stupid $$$ on them, just like geared bikes. The Norco will do the job. You can find better for just a bit more.
As someone who has spent far too much time wrenching in bike shops, I would recommend you avoid that norco. Those style of bikes get abused and thrashed by young guys who can't afford a big-hit rig yet. Judging by seat angle and setup on that thing, its probably pretty beat down. Also, spend a bit more money to at least get name brand suspension forks that are serviceable. The ones on that Norco are essentially disposable, the cost of new suspension would match that of the entire bike.
Good Luck,
Adam
The kickstand on the Norco says it wasn't too abused to me.
