    vStar Fuel Shut Off question

    I recently bought a 2002 vStar 1100 and hoping someone can help;

    The fuel shut off switch doesn't have an arrow on it, just a long end and a short end so I am not sure which way to point it to on and I don't want to find out the hard way!

    Here's a picture of the shut off (currently in the off position)

    The position you have shown here is in the off position. It will be shown in your manual as well or you could put the petcock on the position you have shown and let your bike run for a few minutes. If it starts dieing then off position is confirmed.

    So far so good, I've been really happy with it. I'm still getting used to a larger bike (previous was a CX500) but I'm glad I went with the 1100. Once I get some saddlebags I'll be ready for the wide open road!

    Anytime you want to share pavement, fire me a PM.

    From time to time, I think about trading up. And then some mechanic at a bike shop starts telling me how'd they take an 1100 over the 950 or the 1300 any day. Personally, I just love the look of the thing.
