These arn't cheap but they are the best chains out there.

but as stated above, there would have to be a significant group buy deal, as i am rather reluctant to pay ~$500 for this (my theft insurance is $20 per month).

What length? Our dollar is really strong now. 2m for 150 GBP = ~300 CDN shipped at regular price.

What length would be good enough to wrap around a pole in the condo? 1.5m or 2m?

Also, would be interested to hear opinions if CISA lock is good enough (cause Squire lock is double the price).

+1, i'd go for longest one, just because if i'm buying it, might as well buy it right the first time around. rather thna short one and then go through the hassle of trying to return for a longer one.

What kind of joke is it? Like, who's laughing? The thieves or you?

another issue is the thieves probably are on this forum and will invest in the proper equipment to cut the chains when encountered. especially if they know what kind of chain it is. i would take the almax labels off so if they do attack it they at least ruin their bolt cutters and you know someone messed with t.

Ha! I forgot that I made a comment on the Almax chain back in 2007 (see first link, bottom of the page).

Highly recommend the chain, but I would get the 2.0m instead of the 1.5m. Squire lock rules!!!
