Interesting, I heard a few RUMORS earlier this week about them going belly up but as I said they are RUMORS not facts so it will be interesting to hear what is really going on!

Well things go crazy and missing during bankruptcy... just to be on the safe side. I remember when cycleworld said it was going to shut down. Honda and Yamaha were down there with a truck the next day

It's not even that but let's say something happens, owner's gone, nobody cares and your bike ends up being hostage for a month or so.

Someone buy that place, change the name and start from scratch. Please.
If I win the lottery, I'll do it.

Or bike could get damaged (tip over and whatnot) and you end up absorbing the cost

if a place goes bankrupt it gets locked down...and then it will take months and months of legal BS for you to prove that the bike is a. yours. and b. you dont owe any money on it for whatever reasons...

happened to some mechanics i know when JetsGo shut down....they didnt get to their tool chests in time and the bank locked down the hangar. it took them weeks to get their tools back...plus the fact that they were out of pocket for any vacation pay, time bank, over time, regular pay that was owed.

I highly recommend this ... if they are going belly up you should get it out quick ... tho could be they're just shutting down temporarily to do renovations to there sales floor ? perhaps the mech. bays are still open and in service but the sales floor is all shutdown ...

+1... I would be pulling my bike out of there quickly, if at all possible.

    +1. Yeah, Why risk it?
    Get it out of there.
Otherwise you're just praying that all things are clear to Envy, Bailiffs, Banks, Creditors, etc. as to who owns assets including the tangibles on the premises (bikes, tools, furnishings, etc)
And while they sort that out, you may be sitting on the sidelines bikeless and v.sad.

.. and if they're NOT folding up, great! you got your bike early.

The part that says "or until further notice" is bad news, get your bike out now.
Sounds like they are having a bankruptsy inventory.

Didnt look good for the last month or so (selling off stock but not ordering any more in), and the owners havent been seen at the shop in months. Looks like they are pulling a Cycle World and cashing out of the game...

I guess this goes to show you that all publicity isn't good publicity, their reputation for customer service (or lack there of) doesn't foster an environment of new and returning customers.
