    4 Months Insurance

If I want insurance for only 4 months where should I go because I'm buying my 1st bike tomorrow but I don't plan on having it for the winter

They will mostly prorate it and you will pay 3 times more per month.

Sign up for a 1 year policy, cancel it when you sell the bike. Be careful when you cancel it as if you are paying monthly you will almost certainly owe more money (read vifferfun 's articles for more info). Basically for riding 4 months in the summer expect to pay something like 60-80% of the price of a full year policy. In Ontario, most of the risk is in the summer so most of the premium is in the summer.

You've already asked this question, don't ask again

Refer to my State Farm cancellation sticky for the details.
