Yeah, but you get no refund on the policy you already have. To change my policy, Jevco wanted me to pay the difference between the two policies as if it were day 1, but with the same expiry date.
So my policy: 1300, desired policy: 2900. difference: 1600. If i want to change my policy 1 day before it expires, they want 1600, and then i'm up for renewal in a day.
so, technically i guess you do have the right...

I have never had problems changing bikes mid-season on my policy. I've always paid insurance upfront so the remaining balance was put towards the new bike and I had to pay maybe an extra $50 for the year with the new bike.
I need to stop buying and selling bikes like they are stocks!

Ok after reading some of your premiums, I feel like I got such a bad deal.
I am 22, second year riding, located in East York, Honda Shadow Ace 750. Paying $2180 full coverage. Does this seem too much to anyone else? This is with Jevco. I have nothing else insured with them.

State Farm rates on the CC's of the bike. Good if your riding a super sport. If you plan on keeping the SV, check with some other companies. I think you may be pleasantly surprised. Melloche Monnex, TD, Jevco, Primmum.
CAA gave me a very good quote as well. But I don't know if they have any requirements.
