My Nexo gloves held up in this weather and the el-cheapo Gears were even better in even colder weather. Make sure you layer up if you go out there.

Yeah, I wipe the leaky-seal fork down on occasion. And yes, breakfast/lunch/dinner/brunch/snack of champions

I'd probably hold out for the weekend, but I'm in for burritos on Tuesday

Speaking of which, it's on for tonight. 7pm @ BMO - if you don't know where it is (i.e. you're a newb ) check the original post of the thread.

    Hi

I live in Etobicoke as well.

I am away till tuesday, but then my schedule looks very flexible for the next 2 months (till thend of May) so i am up for rides, although bear in mind that i am female, and a beginner, so you will have to ride kinda slowish to allow me in

B to compensate that, i am cute, and can converse on many different topics

No issues with organizing newb-friendly rides. Speaking of which, I might go for a bit of a boot today, just gotta check in with my buddy if he wants to get his SV back on the road.

Ok the buddy won't come out with us but I'm still willing to go out for a boot after my very late post-fast breakfast. So it's BMO at 3:30, gonna make it newb friendly if any newbs come out. I'll be too full to really kick it, so it'll be relaxed. Who's in?

No takers? I'll swing by BMO and if nobody's at the lot, I'm off for a solo boot anyway.. It's about time I put on a few miles

Wow, so many bikes on Lakeshore - both yesterday and today. I was riding from Kipling to the parking lot on the lake across from High Park. By the parking lot, I was already riding with 2 other people. When I got into the parking lot, I realized there were 3 more SS bikes about 30 seconds behind me too.

What a beautiful day to go out! My 5th (or 6th ?) ride. yay.

It sure was fun before it got windy. We got inadvertantly involved in the photo tag thinking a rider needed some help

Battery on number one bike is dead.

Number two bike is charged up but there are so many pieces missing it looks like a fizzer.

Will try to get the big red one out today, until I can swing by Cyclewerx and pick up a battery.

Nice dig, Baggz.. But that VS couldn't keep up with the Fizzer even if the Fizzer ran on 2 cylinders

    Re: Etobicoke Riders 4.0

No worries.. It's easy enough. Just remember the following few things..
    1) We ride in a staggered formation
    1--------
    ---------2
    3---------
    ----------4
With 1s spacing between consecutive numbers, i.e. 2s spacing between you and the rider directly in front of you. That helps us avoid pileups. Just keep that in mind because being too close raises the risk of pileup and too much spacing allows a cager to bust in the middle of the formation.

    2) Some signals you need to keep in mind.
Left arm to the left - turning left (or left lane change)
Left arm up - turning right (or right lane change)
Left foot out - Obstacle to the left or the person in front of you going to the left track
Right foot out - Same as the above but to the right (since foot signals can mean 2 things, you may wanna consider backing off the throttle a bit and paying attention to the rider in front of you and the road)

    3) No passing within the formation, unless the rider in front of you indicates for you to pass him/her (this is more common in groups where everybody's familiar with each other)

    4) No stunting on our group rides. Brings too much heat down on us.
