That's horrible, there are times I have heard of those same issues with Statefarm. When they gave me a quote, I asked them to get it approved by their underwriters first. Usually, if they bring it to an underwriter they are more cautious and aware of what should or should not be placed on the books.

But Viffers right, thats just bad agents/brokers, its sloppy and unprofessional for it to be happening as often as people are claiming.

By using the agents/brokers in the Insurance Specialist feild you will most likely by pass these problems, due to knowledge and experience they have.

That is a good suggestion, especially if you bike purchase decision depends on the insurance premium (which is true in most cases).
I'm an Actuarial Analyst for a Major Canadian Insurance Company. I analyse claims patterns to determine overall rate changes, as well as relative premium differences by various risk characteristics (eg. age, experience, claims, convictions, usage, etc.)

Unless it's private, please post insurance-related questions in the forum rather than sending me a PM.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind when I'm eligible for a quote with SF.

I'm not sure why they do it even after knowing all my info. It has happened to me while finalizing my quote, and has happened to my friend (Username: LoneRonin) as well...they dropped him a few months into the duration of the policy!

I'm sure there are good SF agents out there, I've just yet to find any.

Check the sticky . . . there are a few that people rave about. If people are raving about their agent/broker, you can be pretty confident that you will receive great service as well.
