Perhaps some of you can point me to a good source.
I am looking for about 100-200 feet 12 gauge of home audio speaker wire. I want to run them inside the walls so they are supposed to be rated for in wall use. I am not sure what the big difference is.
Who has the best prices on this item locally?
The price to ship from the US costs more than the wires according to some online retailers.
Thanks

In-wall wire has a different insulator so as to maintain fire code ratings. If you come out empty handed locally, I've purchased a few things from these guys when I wall mounted my flat panel tv.

Can't we settle this over a pint?
I have some at my shop if you are near Stoney Creek. Its 14 guage. Thats all you really need for a typical good home theatre install. You only need 12 if you are going to be doing some loooong runs.
We use this stuff all the time.
Don't go to fancy audio/video stores unless you want to over pay.
Just go to any reputable wire supply store and get what you need.
Companies that specialize in wires like http://www.ecswire.com/, Anixter cables, Noramco, or most electrical supply stores can order this stuff in (Nedco, HDsupply, Westburne, etc.)
Not sure why you would want to order from the US. 12 guage wire is heavy, and you will get nailed on shipping.
