Royal Distributing outside of Barrie is great for your entry-level gear. go there for gloves, jackets and other things. I would suggest getting something cheap first while you figure out what you want. Other than helmet, of course - buy the best you can afford.

i personally would say gp bikes they got mor accessories then any other store from armour gear to everything and there prices are really fair if your not happy with them they will often discount you also and they have good sales on in winter so besides them royal distributing theres one in guelph as mentioned but also one up the 400 north by the outlet mall they have lots to choose from also you can shop online from both stores but i recommend going in and trying stuff on comfortable is key!!!!!good luck and ride safe!!!!

I would NOT buy a white jacket (or boots) for street riding. They will not stay clean from road gunk even if you clean them after every ride. Get something that is 60-80% black. Spend your time riding not cleaning.

You should really try gear on and make sure it fits properly.
That said, try and buy locally and support locally. It keeps us all happy.
At this rate we will end up with no shops left here to go to.

We all support locally somehow. Unfortunately for the local shops, I'm not paying 300 dollars more for the same product. If you would I would call you crazy or stupid, or just filthy rich.

Keep an eye out for Royal’s spring (TENT) sale. Some time in March to April, they discount gear they don’t sell. I got a power trip leather jacket (Orange County Chopper)
With shoulder, elbow & back protection for $140.00, & no tax. The jacket normily sells for $600.
Last season I got my girlfriend a power trip leather jacket for $60, & no tax.
    Hope this helps.

I agree there.. a lot of the local vendors seem to feoget the dollar parity (or close to) at times and do not adjust pricing accordingly. This sends a lot of us south of the border to order. Sad but true.
