SOAR Gets Title Sponsor for 2010 and other News

Here is some news to get you through the cold February blues.

SOAR welcomes to the table one of the biggest non-industry investments in recent memory for Canadian motorcycle road racing...................

New for 2010 Superior Propane will become the series sponsor for SOAR. Once again, while the industry shrinks and runs for cover in our poor global economy, SOAR attracts new investments and continues to grow.

We welcome Superior Propane and are looking forward to working with them. We are humbled that our little series which is growing has the opportunity to be partnered with an industry leader and look forward to a long partnership.

Along with Superior Propane we have some new class sponsors as well. Pro6 and Dunlop are stepping up with a huge three year deal. Motoress is on board with our Formula Femme class. Uber Racing will be sponsoring the brand new "NuSpeed" class. We also have support from The Toronto Motorcycle Show for our endurance series.

New for 2010 Turn 2 Sportbike School will be taking over classroom duties for the SOAR Racer Qualification School. Our instructors will continue with the on-track portion of the school. This partnership with Turn 2 brings their experience and expertise in structured instruction to our already busy school. Once again we offer this qualification school on Friday before each round which is run simultaneously with our Friday practice.

Racer5 and Turn 2 will have rental bikes available at all SOAR rounds for those who wish to try their hand in our addiction. Although these will be small bore starter bikes we have also had interest shown regarding obtaining bigger equipment. We will inform you as soon as we have firm commitments.

Inside Track publications will be running regular features in their leading Canadian publication "Inside Motorcycles" This will offer our riders coverage and sponsor exposure across the country on a regular basis.

Zoomius is hard at work designing and building our new next generation RFID timing system. SOAR will be completely self contained and portable starting 2010. They will be sending our old friend Chris Keane to our first round to make sure that this is integrated without issue.

Our first ever banquet is scheduled at WEGZ Stadium Bar in Vaughan for March 5th.- click here for more details. We will be taking this opportunity to honour our 2009 series champions. We have been aggressively gathering auction items for our SORE Injured Riders fund. This is YOUR money and it is our goal to have a few thousand dollars in the fund before the first round to assist you - if needed.

There will be a showing of the 2010 start to the AMA series with the Daytona 200. This will be broadcast on a 22 x 16 FOOT HD big screen TV. No doubt this will be another great time with the SOAR family and friends.
