    Fender eliminator

This plate frame holds the plate and signals which are LED's (resistor included, plugs in super easy) that light up AMBER. So they are the proper color for signals and are bright enough during the day for people to see them. With the resistors included they will blink at the proper rate. Another great feature of the lights is they come in different shapes and sizes depending on personal preference. Two smaller pieces of angle iron mount further back from the plate with LED's installed in them and are angled just right to light up the plate.

Got a mock up done, I just need to rough up the angle iron a bit before I get it painted. When the bike is being painted I'm having my plate frame done at the same time for no extra charge. All this cost me less than 100 dollars and half an hour to construct. When the license plate is installed it will completely hide all the angle iron, hardware, and wiring.

+1 ... if your gonna spend $100 bucks, why not get a Competition Werks F.E. for $150? ...... probably the best F.E. out there!

But I guess you get an E for effort!!!

I can make something like that for $20 and under......

Where do you get the $100? How much of it are you paying for labour?

    Re: Fender eliminator

All of that for LESS than $100

    Signals: 40 dollars
    Angle Iron: 6.00
Nuts and bolts: Free from work
    LED's for plate light: 10.00

    Total 56.00
Labour: 0.00 Did all the work myself and took less than 30 minutes.
Paint: Free - Getting bike painted so the painter will already have the material and will spray the frame for free.

So lets see, 56.00 dollars for signals brighter than stock is in my opinion a better purchase than anything I'd order out of a catalog or online.

Not that i wanna be the sharp nail in ur tire but I got my eliminator from ebay for 36 shipped to my door with led turn signals and plate light but this is a good alternative for people that can't find any for cheaper than $56?

It was a generic eliminator but it looked just as good as any other

Ok so granted there's cheaper alternatives but with the signals I went with I had a few different choices of sizes and styles. In addition to that my signals are brighter than the stock signals. Plus since I need to pass import standards next year when moving to Australia, the stock signals can bolt right onto the frame using the same holes as the aftermarket signals. I can also attach the stock signals to pass inspection for the M2 exit course this summer since I've been told they are a bit tight a$$ed about the bike being as close to stock as possible.

    not bad...

for me I just got a pair small L brackets from RONA worth $1.45 and the sheet of metal i forgot what it is called 75 cents... now I just need a LED light and a housing for it then use the old harness from my Gixxxer. So all in all I'll be spending less than 10 bucks hehe. I'll post some pics up once I figure out the plate light.
