there is a great bbq and rodeo up here in sept. there is also pike falls and rosies rodeo and roast. y'all should try a rodeo it is a hoot!

well sorry adri but i dont do those big charity rides. i will go off and do my own ride but large groups like that are a death sentence to me. i have almost been killed by people who dont know how to ride too many times. people get excited, and they get nervous, and try to keep the gaps tight when they should be riding their own ride, and then something screws up. it is not my idea of a good time. i will do all of the charitable work, i will volunteer, i will fundraise, just dont ask me to ride with people i dont know really well. everybody's got their thing. the world is big enough for us all.

we would like to have a charity event for the local humane society. we wont be doing it this year formally as we dont have the time to plan it correctly. but we are looking for suggestions for the type of event. we would like it to be a bit different than your typical event. any suggestions?

what would you say to a timed event with checkpoints where you need to be really close to the time posted. it would be more about map navigation than speed. to fast you get penalized same as too slow. any ideas?

Even though I was whining about being sick of Americade in another thread (mainly because I got a ticket last time down - okay I was going maybe just a LITTLE fast), I have to say Americade in Lake George only because my very first motorcyle road trip on my own bike was to Americade and I met a great group of people there who took a little Canadian newbie under their wings.

The friends have now become the "event" for me, more than Americade itself. In fact last year I went into the town of Lake George only once all week.

Other than that, I prefer places away from large crowds of anything - even other bikes. I've only gone down to Port Dover for a Friday the 13th twice - hated it both times. I'll sponser my fellow riders on assorted charity rides, but avoid them like the plague - too many people who don't know how to ride in groups.

i figured it had been doen already. i wonder if it is too cerebral and not fun enough for people. i want people to have a good time on their own ride or with a small group if they decide to do that. i just want choices and opportunities for everyone to enjoy the ride. all riders, skill levels and styles or type. i will check out the link. thank you.

been doing RFS since the second last year it was in Fenelon Falls (small but great venue I thot) but I have NEVER been in the ride and have no intention to change that. Like RH says if you've ever watched them roll by it can be a scary sight.

Can we trust the Stumblers will have a banner?

Port Dover on the 13th?? if you've been once in the summer, you've pretty much seen it all assuming you didn't just eat a perch lunch and bugger off before dark when the shennagins start.

Deals Gap and a ride to James Bay are on the list but will likely get shoved to 2011. A huge project at work with a summer install date and 2 weeks in Greece with the Squeeze to celebrate our 25th will hoover up most of the summer free time.

No, cause I moved before then, that's why!!
We have tons of chicks on this site, but i was the one that ended up wearing the bikini and whoring myself on the side of the road.
