Seeing that you got your bike already, I'll just throw in my 2 cents...
I'm 6'1" and 245 lbs. When I got my first bike, I was bodybuilding and was up to 265 lbs... it was a '98 Gixxer750. I felt GREAT on it. The best way to choose a bike it to test-ride one. Every dealer out there has demos you can ride. Use them! They're there for a reason...
My next bike was a Yamaha R1. Tons of power (whoa!) There was a bit of discomfort on my back, but not so much where I hated riding. I test-rode Hondas and Kawi's after that, and both of those bikes killed my back...
... so where am I today? Back on a '08 Gixxer. Why? Comfort. Like I said, I felt great on it. Everyone has different bio-mechanics... we all sit, ride, throttle, and brake differently. Test ride your bikes, and make a decision from there. Don't base your decision on style, type, or size of the bike...
