A buddy is trying to convince me I should join in on a trip to James Bay. Anybody done it? He says it's a long road (of course) with hardly a cop to be seen, but I'm not convinced that's enough - droning at high speed is still droning.

60 thru algonquin is scenic enough I suppose but as I recall the speed thru the park was at a reduced rate.

PS: Forks are great during the week, during working hours. My girlfriend and I went up a few times while everyone else was at work (the only plus side to being students) and enjoyed it. No cops, no crowds. Weekends or evenings, no thank you!

Algonquin is 80, and keep it near that speed or under durings weekends in summer when tourists spot moose and scatter all over the road to take pictures of the famous wilderness cows.

I love Algonquin. Was up there last June with some buddy's and there was no traffic or people. It was deserted!!! Go there at least once a year, 507, elephant lk rd , maynooth area!!! All told about 700 clicks return from holland landing. Will keep a watch maybe hook up for the trip!!!! I haven't been to Calaboogie so that is definitely on my list this year .. especially with my son graduating teachers college @ Ottawa U

Be sure to ride 129 to chapleau and do the ride around Elliot lake and st Joesph island if your in the soo area.
I have done the soo trip 2 years running and a manitoulin trip thrown in for good measure. Hwy 6 from espanola is a nice road too .

I have never rideen out there. Look slike some great roads , might have to check them out.
