Roads you want to hit up in 2010

So what roads in ontario would you like to hit up?


I'm thinking flinton rd 41, 132, 508 and 511

In that same area there is a few roads I'd like to explore. Westport road is nice as it skirts beside the lake. On google maps Mountain road that runs sort of parallel with Westport looks like it might be good too.

That's pretty much the "Calabogie Boogie". I love the roads around Calaboogie. Generally the first "meet up" with friends I do is in Bancroft on the first weekend of April. A group of us will met up there, have lunch and tel some lies and then go for a ride. Last year we did much of the roads you mentioned. I think it was a 700 km day for me and got pretty cold by the end of the day.

I did several rides int he area.. all the 500 series roads up there are nice but my fav up is the Matawachan/Centennial lake/Calabogie rd.

There is a nice little side trip to a power dam there that is worth a stop at.

+1 on Calabogie Boogie and Flinton Rd. I'm always liking the 518 and the Huntsville Backroads.

A really nice road that's about 30-40k and runs south from downtown Barry's Bay is Dunn Street -also called Kartuzy Rd (leads south from Barry’s Bay and runs just west of #62 but much better) and it eventually leads back to #62 to get to Maynooth/Elephant Lake Rd. Nice road, spectacular scenery, average pavement - no traffic.

Some roads I haven't been on, but want to check out are the ones just east of Barry's Bay.

Tom's 'Mini - Tail Of The Dragon' is also a wild ride.
