This is a street project bike. But the BST wheels are actually stronger than the stock wheels. You can find some tests on Blackstone TEK's site and on Youtube.

Sure, move it to the project section. Good deal.
Not too worried about the hardened aluminum sprocket, but time will tell. I don't mind replacing it once a year but I will if it's more than that. On the race bike, I have to say that the sprocket didn't look too bad after a few AM Superbike races (Joey McRae 200 and about 10 or so track days in 2009. Better than the chain, which tore in half and bent the clutch pushrod.
Oh... and the apples? Spy.
Bonus points if you can identify how many bikes are in the picture, and what they are.

Heh. OK, well... McRae's old AM Superbike that I bought last spring, beside it my wife's Burgman 650 and on the other side of the Burgman, a black/burgundy 06 GSX-R 750 that I sold to a friend after I bought the 1000 for modification.

Interim report: Fast Company has finished the engine and is in tuning stages. The bike is equipped with a self-tuning system and the torque curve is a solid, clean line.
Peak torque on pump gas: 82lb/ft
Peak hp on pump gas: 174.xhp
Peak torque on MR9: 85lb/ft
Peak hp on MR9: 182.xhp
He's hoping for minor improvements with a second run. This is with fresh rings, etc. so it should improve a little bit with the rings sealed up tight from use.
By comparison, a stock 2006 with a Ti Akrapovic similar to mine made 158.xhp and 78tq on the same dyno with MR9. Since every dyno is different, this is the best way to compare to stock (better still if they were both there on the same day, etc. etc.)
No idea what the end horsepower is and don't care. Scott Miller says it compares very favourably with the output he has seen from the CDN Superbikes he has worked with, and who can ask for much better than that for what amounts to a freshen, degreed cams, thinner head gasket and some dyno work?

Ended up with 184whp & 85.6lb/ft torque on MR9. Nice. The bike is very strong, although a little weedy below 4,000 RPM as you would expect from the cams. I have only had a very brief amount of time riding it so far.
I now have Pazzo levers and a HyperPro damper on it as well.
One thing: looking for a lightweight battery. Will post in another thread.

Put a Full Spectrum Pulse P2 in the bike. 1.7 pounds.
Also, the SpeedoHealer I put on the bike is working flawlessly, was an easy install and I'd fully recommend it to anyone with non-stock sprockets or tires. It's refreshing to see real speed numbers on a sportbike.
I think I went overboard on the sprockets. I'm finding the bike is a bit too on/off on the fuel and since I'm practically always in sixth, I find myself downshifting to go anywhere, usually I'm in 3rd or 4th when I'm riding quicker. Bike is also spinning a fair bit.
Now looking for nicer/smaller mirrors for the bike (far.it p.n. 6461 or 6651 perhaps) and a single monocoque seat system like the Durbahn 750 seat they did for the P3 bikes. Barring that, I guess it's a CF tail on a R&R Racing single subframe.

Put the Spiegler pre-lengthed stainless braided lines on the bike tonight as well. Bled the lines and then tie-wrapped the lever as well as put a bleach bottle on the rear pedal to make double sure.
BTW, the hand-pump bleeders work for crap. Ended up putting a rubber line into a bottle of DOT4 and pumping the brake lever - which worked perfectly. Wish I'd not paid $40 for the pump.

Sprocket problem is now fixed. That's a 42 tooth sprocket.

Had a chance to run a S1000RR (bone stock) three times with the bike now, on a low speed roll. Three for three, the BMW was harshly passed and it ran away from the S1KR faster as I went. Even I was surprised at how quick it was over. Fun to watch the S1KR porpoise with the wheelie control (in RACE mode) trying to keep me off.
Don't get the wrong idea, though... the BMW put up a lot more fight than anything else I've occasioned to play with, although a stock '06 GSX-R did pull a few bike lengths on me right off with that low end punch of the stock motor and my wheel in the air. The BMW I took seriously and worked hard to get the drive.
Kudos to Fast Company (like Scott needs my endorsement, lol) and BST. Still do not have the rotors, though... it's taking effing forever and I don't expect to see them until the new year. But hey, big upgrade when they come in.
FWIW, the track bike did the same thing to a S1000RR, but he was running me down (apparently, I never saw him again after the passes) at the far end of the straight. There's something to be said for instant drive vs. high end power for sure. In Sport and Race mode, the Beemer was painting nice thick black lines out of corners... it's definitely not weak, and the TCS is allowing some slip. I could use a little of that voodoo...
