At the risk of having my mancard revoked, Cameron's last film, Titanic, was a better movie.

I'll agree to that...... this movie was a mockumentary in disguise about the Na'vi and their mating/cultural rituals.

but why do you need to see it more than once in theatres? "of the millions of dollars that movie made, $50 is mine!!!"

let's give Cameron credit... in Titanic he DID kill annoying-teeny-bopper Leo Dicraprio, which in turn spawned the super cool Leo that we get to watch today.

Please turn in your mancard at the exit as you are escorted by the security.

Thats like comparing apples to oranges. Two completely different types of movies.

Comparing the quality would be more appropriate. In this case both are of equal "quality" . IMHO

It was a great movie at best, but not phenominal... and not a 'best picture' nomination either. felt like i was watching a cartoon most of the time.

like someone said before: pocahontas in space with a little bit of matrix
Well, if you wanna get technical it is "Dances with Wolves" set in outer space, with a dash of "Aliens" and some "Dragonriders of Pern" thown in for good measure, and...some "Lion King" is in there, too. With giant cat-smurfs.

I'm going to see it again, in Imax this time. It was great.

My kids and I really enjoyed this movie. It did what it's supposed to do, totally entertain you.

Watching in 3D really rocked as well. I have an impression that this is the way movies will go in the future. Adds a completely new dimension to a movie experience. Pun intended.

No one commented on how long this movie was...I went in expecting the best movie of the year, it was OK nothing i would rent or see again. Damn though I saw the movie at 11:15 and didnt get out til like 2 AM. It was wayyyy too long and not interesting enough. But the graphics were intense I'll give it that.

well, they weren't the best boobies. Starship Troopers (released around the same time) had better boobies. The only issue was that at the age of 14, I couldn't get into the second

Amen. And I think it was the END of Leo D, not the begining. What, besides Catch Me If You Can, did he do after titanic that was worth watching?

He peaked with Basketball Diaries. |Aviator and Gangs of NY are the only ones i could watch since Titanic.
