Personally, Shannonville offers the best overall value for the money, I think. The facilities are reasonably good, the track offers plenty of challenges, and ... well, it's 25 minutes away for me.

I don't think much of Cayuga. Hate the surface quality and the track layout... in a car. Haven't tried it on a bike since I disliked it so much in a car.

Calabogie is astonishing. Wonderful track. But I worry about its safety. Damn the financial cost, the physical cost could be horrendous.

Mosport is also astonishing. The speed! But it's costly.

Still, I think it's worth trying them all. I consider Shannonville my practice track and in general, the track I can just go to on a whim. Everything else I plan out carefully and sign on weeks in advance so that I can be mentally, physically and resourcefully prepared.

    ... my 2.5 cents + tip.

All I can say is it had nothing to do with maudite or la fin du monde. and it's not that quebec wouldn't want to see me.... i'm just not that eager to stay...

Exactly my thinking as well. Shannonville isn't exactly close so may as well keep trucking to a much better track and experience.
