Iphone GPS Lap Timer

Infrared timers like the XT are accurate to 1/100 sec and are very durable and not affected by rain.

I doubt the iPhone app is that accurate if the GPS cannot resolve within 5 metres. And phones do not like moisture, or impacts.

I also have the XT mini. It's cheap and it works, the only complaint i have about it (and it's a complaint i can easily live with) is that it only reads to tenths of a second.

Have you guys ever had any missed laps? I've been looking at different options and the mini-lap doesn't have a remote pickup (but it does have pickup on each side to help).

no issues for me. on the settings you select wich side you want to use.
