I for one really appreciate how hard these small shops are trying to be competetive. COnsiderig how short our riding season is here in Canada (compared to 50% of all bike registrations in the US are south of TN, so bike products sell almost all yr round down there). They are shortening their margin to lower prices for each item, but this also means they count on us riders to recognize this, and shop more. Since their margins are less, they need the volume to sstay in business. They have families to feed as well, and if we all continue to shop cross border for consumables like tires etc, then our CDN shops will disappear. Anyone want to have to go to a Powerhouse Honda dealer in Toronto to buy a set of $450 Michelins again?

I'd try the bigger shops, tell them you found the 003 r/s for that price and see what they say.
$190 a set?! go for it!

Pete's is Canadian..not quite "local" but....
I have never gone across the border for my rubber.
    Probably won't.

Hassle of shipping/waitin etc...= I'll spend the extra couple bucks.
Last set I bought was from Platnum Powersports/Toastman. = decent price for sure.
Seein what Pete's can do is all.

Thinkin about it takes all the fun out of it !

I did some checking to see what's out there. It seems Bridgestone did put them on sale for a while. I don't know if this is good enough but here's the best Blue Streak can do right now.

$320 a set all taxes in.

$20 to ship them or $20 to put them on your rims and balance them.

If you are interested let me know and I'll grab the tires before they are gone.

Chris if you are reading this it's a bit closer to what you wanted. -

    Cheers

Now that's a steal folks. If B-Stones are what you're after, get 'em before they're gone.
I bought my Conti Road Attacks at Bluestreak, and Tony mounted and balanced them for me, at a price that I would have paid for tires out of the US. I didn't have to wait, I didn't have to drive to the border and pay taxes or broker fees, or try to sneak them past customs, and I got some great bench racing in with Tony while I was there.
