Can I ask if you are purchasing at a business that will sell to the general public for the same price? I'd like to get my mitts on a set.

    The RS not the DOT.

And they're now $278 Canadian a set shipped to my friend in the US.

I'd rather give business to local guys but that seems too good a deal to stay off.

I'm not being lazy here but do you have any suggestions? I'd guess the main dealers wont touch that price.

How set are you on the Bridgestone?

Riders Choice is having a ridiculous sale on Pilot Powers. $190/set.

I'd try the bigger shops, tell them you found the 003 r/s for that price and see what they say.

It seems to be a catch 22x
US tires are cheaper to buy, Canadian tires are crazy expensive,
we all find ways to get cheaper tires , why don't the vendors/manufacturers be
more competetive in our Canadian market on tires people want and use and they might get MORE business. The loop holes people will jump threw to save a 100
a set, and losing business to the us or lowering your price and keeping the business here??? Hmmm seems like a no brainer to me yet Canadian prices are
    no where near the
    American market value!!

True, back in 07/08 when the Canadian dollar was above the US and the price disparity was the biggest, it was the manufacturers and distributors who refused to budge on prices.

Even now i still get parts at cost from my sponsor shop and its STILL cheaper for me to buy some stuff from the States.

    I just did the calcs. To price match in Canada (before tax) I need;

    120/70-zr17 @ $98 CAD

    190/55-zr17 @ $150 CAD

    for BT 003 rs tires.

I feel a bit of a twat for asking for those prices, but I'll try.

Pete's, Platinum Powersports, and Bluestreak Racing can get really close to your US prices.
And both Platinum and Bluestreak can and will install them for you too. Try that at a US retailer.

I know everyone is trying to save some money... it's a very expensive sport, but I'd rather spend a little extra money and buy local. Personal service means a lot to me in this globilized economy of ours.
