    May 5th, 2010:

-Bike is done! its at Pannon right now for chain & sprocket. he's also doing the safety for me. I can maybe squeeze a ride in tomorrow.

    - Painted the tail black. spray bomb. I'm happy with it for now. looks much better than the blue.

-Painted alot of small stuff. Like the radiator cap.

-I traded the white fender for a black one.

-The really nice undertail kit. Spent alot of time making this yesterday. The signals are down there because the exhaust is in the way :P
had to get really creative designing this. but I'm really happy with the result.

-R6 Throttle Tube for quick turn throttle. 1/6th turn.

    -love this gauge.

    - AFAM steel sprockets and brake banjo bolts.

-On the way to Pannon. Black fender is on. Looks great!

Looks nice...what year is that GSXR front end from? cuz the 05 GSXR front end on my g/f's 04 sv650 lets the ignition lock the steering...

sweet work, good job on the headlight bracket, among everything else.

Looks great, I was going to the last update that I like the red on the tank for the bike, but I actually can say for once I really like the black. I think if the tank and rear wheel were black that would be the best SV I've ever seen ( I'm not nagging about the wheel again, I know PC later LOL). Good work again man.
Table's they turn sometimes....Payback is a you know what)...

I believe its a 04-05 GSXR 750. The 2nd gen SV's got it lucky and the ignition is in the same place as alot of GSXR's and you don't need a special steering head bearing as well.

I know there is one GSXR 1000 steering head that has the ignition in the center as well. But the offset might be different. It would be nice to have lock but oh well....

haha, thanks man. I think the black fender and painted tail actually saved it from looking too butched but agreed. like it much more now.

    Re: [DY's] SV650 Winter Project

    May 25th, 2010:

Here is the long promised glamour shot.

Overall, this is just a huge improvement over my 250. I just have to work on my maintenance throttle when cornering. Stepping the back tire out is just way too easy on this bike. on the 250, I can pin it midcorner and have nothing happen. not so much with this.

I've put just over 1000km on this bike over the last few weeks and I absolutely love every second on it. Knowing the amount of time and effort put in to make it something different and something I liked is great as well.

Having said that, this is always going to be an ongoing project. I need new paint on it and I will be adding things here and there. But for now, this is the last update.

Feels free to post any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
Thanks again for all the support and interest in the project.

    its been fun,
