So I'm looking for something called a position jumper:
It's really just a fancy strip of metal that goes onto a barrier strip to 'share' a connection:
I checked the source, but they don't sell the position jumper, and CT doesn't show anything on their site (but may in store). Has anyone bought one of these things before? Where did you get it from?
I'm needing it for something like this: http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php I already built myself a relay system with a cut-down 12-POSITION STANDARD TERMINAL STRIP but it's getting bulky and using the barrier strip method will let me cut the amount of useless wires down (plus it's much easier to add new components)
help please!

cool thanks, I'll check out Sayal as it's close to home.
You can also try Torbram Electric. they have many stores around the GTA.
Keep it upright and she'll always be happy!
Princess auto has them, some in the lighting/wiring section, some in the speaker wire section.
its called a "DISTRIBUTION BLOCK"
sayal will have more selection.

I want these parts gone! make me an offer.
please email me directly, I don't check the forums anymore. Thanks!
You know you can just strip some solid copper wire, use that for jumpers if you want.
Resurection - Did you ever find this? I can find the barrier block but not the jumper. I called sayal they said they didnt have it.
I cant see it on PA website.
Try active, then. It's a maze but it's well stocked.

I was there today. Also didnt have it.
You can order from Digikey. It's going to cost you $8 for shipping on one item, though.
This is the 5 position, but there are other sizes if needed.

Can't you just use a couple of marrettes? I don't imagine those wires are very big and all the + may fit in one and the - in another.
This is the kind of obscure part that you'd likely find at A1 Electronics in Etobicoke ( http://www.a1parts.com/ ). They have lots of surplus electronic gear and a little scrounging in the shelves, especially near the rear of the store will yield some electronic device with those jumpers.
Barring that, you can probably find them online at Future Electronic ( http://www.futureelectronics.com/ ) which has a Canadian distribution center, unlike Digikey.

I used the exact DIY as the OP.
You can normally find that in the household section of Crappy Tire or Rona. I forgot where I found mines but they should be available anywhere.
Word to the wise, if space allows you, don't cut it and allow it to be large so u can plug more accessories to it

Canadian Tire has what you are looking for. Probably not every single one, but larger ones do. When I was buying mine I have gone to all electronic stores around me, but nobody had it ...
