you can request a number at the time that you submit your license application. This does not mean that you will get that number. It may already be taken.

SOAR licensing is based on Novice and expert classes. Some classes are combined, meaning that both the novice and experts race in the same race and are scored together. Some classes the Novice and Expert racers are separated and do not race each other.

What kind of bike are you running?

You have to contact SOAR and make sure the numer you want is available, cause its first come first serve...Pick a few numbers and send them an Email, they will tell you which ones are still available...

Some Novice and Expert class races are combined...If you finish 10th in a combined race, that can still mean you placed 1st in the Novice class...

Please correct me if Im wrong?

Quit livin in the past man. That was last year!

Moving ahead to the 2010 season....although the dates for the races are set, the actual schedules for the weekend are not yet set and have only been discussed in brief. My understanding is that for 2010, the races that will be run together are the races that will be scored together.

For example, I race my SV650 in Battle of The Twins Middleweight. The BOTT MW race runs both novice and expert at the same time and we are scored together. In otherwords, as a novice license holder, if I finish in 3rd place behind 2 expert riders, I finished third in the race (not first in Novice BOTT-mw).

We will be running separate races (novice and expert) for 600, SBK, and open. In otherwords, the novice and Expert riders will not be on the track at the same time, therefore are not scored together.

Is there gonna be enough time for all that to be separate? I assume there will be more races on on the Saturdays to make this happen, not just qualifiers?

Why don't you just leave it blank and use vinyl numbers once you figure out your number.

shouldn't you worry about learning to race and finish before you worry about winning?

Be sure to check out http://www.soaracing.ca as this is your source for all updates and information you need including classes, rules, forms etc. In regards to numbers email info@soaracing.ca and we can check to see if they are available and answer any questions you may have. Your license numbers are on a first come-first serve basis. The purse amounts will be dependent upon grids sizes for that particular race. This will be explained in greater detail when the season is upon us.

    Cheers, Michelle

Actually I always thought Dave's # was E1 until recently. That's why I picked #11....it's easy to pick it out even when it's upside down.

Not likely myself and the GoLo boys have that number tied up for a while, could be a while before Ken forces me up to expert.

Sponsor banners are inversely proportional to the quality of the user's race program!
