Just picked up a 75 Yamaha DT250 as a toy/project bike to play around with, mostly complete, did a bit of work and am ready to fire it up, but its missing the kick-start pedal... It is on a 3/4" sleened shaft. Any idea where i could pick up a generic one for reasonably cheap?

nice! my buddy from FontHill picked up a '73 DT360 earlier this year and fixed it up as well. I'll ask him where he got his parts from and let you know. You two should go riding together sometime :)
