There's people who put 30-40 thousand Kms/season on their bike. That's roughly 10 oil changes, at half the price of OEM filters ($20+ each) that comes out to $100/season saved just on filters. Save on oil, save on tires, save on brake pads, save on chain and sprockets, etc etc it can add up to over a grand in one season. In six years, that comes out to 6 grands saved in just parts. And for those of us who learened to do most of the maintainance ourselves, you end up saving big money in labour too

Not buying OEM doesn't mean bying lower quality parts, it means buying the best product for the money spent.

LMAO!! No, there is no lie there. I should clarify that I will put motorcycle parts on my motorcycle... PERIOD. Do I care about saving $100? Absolutely!! I will shop around from motorcycle dealer to motorcycle dealer to find the better price, but I won't put a car part on my bike in order to OBTAIN that $100 savings.

This horse is DEAD. I'm tired of beating it.
I will say it a third, and one last time... TO EACH THEIR OWN.

Funny thing is, his motorcycle oil filter is more than likely the same one used on a car, atv, marine, etc. -- just more expensive

Right... that's what it's all about... glad you are on our side.

Compare the OEM motorcycle filter efficiency to that of a proper car oil filter that fits on the bike, and then determine which is an "improper" filter.

But when the after-market has been proven to be significantly better than OEM, significantly cheaper than OEM, and significantly more available than OEM.

it's worth it from all angles.

u guys know u can do an oil analysis? right?
I was trying to do that for my car but it seems they arent interested in just doing 1 analysis. They are more interested in doing fleet analysis maybe. They are located in burlington so maybe someone can see if that can work.

I use a larger car filter on my bike.

The oil that's filtered doesn't know the difference.

My tires are low on air, can I just fill them up with air meant for a car tire? Or do I need to use motorcycle air?

If it's motorcycle air, where do I go to get that? Is the dealer the only place?
