Anyone know who will rebuild a GPR damper? I contacted GPR and they forwarded my message to a company in Quebec who will send it to GPR for me???
Rider's Choice recommended I contact GPR as parts can be an issue. Has anyone dealt with someone local who'll rebuild it?
john sharrard, accellerated technologies.
What model? I bought a V4 and it leaked
I sent mine direct to GPR myself about a year later, they rebuilt it and sent it back for free.....No questions asked just shipped it to them, and 2 weeks later it was back at my door.
Its a POS thou, I have to send it back again because it started leaking again...ITS CRAP!
Just sent my OEM 09ZX6R Ohlins damper to Kyle Racing in Cali, to have the internal valve swapped out....He quoted me $87US including the valve, new fluid, and the rebuild....
I would service the GPR by replacing it with an Ohlins or HyperPro RSC unit.

Just an update, I got my OEM Ohlins damper back from Dan Kyle Racing today. Its an OEM damper that came on my 09 ZX6R that didnt really get any stiffer as you adjusted it, so I had the valve swapped out for the one that comes in the aftermarket dampers, and some fresh fluid and a bleeding...Total cost was $102US ($110 Canadian) including return shipping, and I payed $13 to mail it to them...And the damper now feels great! Just like the aftermarket ones I have
$87US for the valve + fluid and a rebuild, so Im sure just a rebuild is much cheaper without the replacement valve...
Not sure what you guys are getting charged locally for rebuilds? It might be worth sending out to Dan?
