Last time I was there they didn't have many designs/colours or sizes left. Although that was at their regular store in Waterloo... not this "clearance centre" in Cambridge. Maybe I'll have to swing by and pick up a spare.

Shark Helmets were getting cleared out left and right this year. I got my RSI for about $140 back in April. They are most likely old though, like someone mentioned. I would expect production year of 2004 and if you go by the 5 year rule, the helmet is expired.

Past: 2005 Ducati S2R 800 Dark
Even if they are new old stock, I would have absolutely no issues with wearing one. Helmets are not milk.

I emailed Shark themselves when I got my helmet (RSR2), and they said ~5years after it's off the shelf. You could probably debate about this all day, but this was straight from their mouth so just putting it out there.
It's kind of a gray area. I have no problem wearing a 6-7 year old helmet. But would I buy a 10+ year old helmet? Probably not, just to be on the safe side.

If you have an RSR2 and can get a size that uses the same visor as whatever size you have or an RSX then it's still worth it to buy the whole helmet just for the visor. A replacement visor for an RSX or RSR2 helmet is $80+ on it's own.

They are indeed 69.99. A lot of XL and XS in stock, but they are moving fast. Limited quantities in RSR2's, lots of S500/S800. Slim pickings in Medium and Large. (but for 69.99 it's a steal)

The RSX is a pretty great helmet as well if they have those instead of the RSR2...
I think I'll go check it out if they have more gear other than helmets. I need some new summer gloves and some cheap warmer winter gloves until my Scorpion XDR Recon gloves come in at GP Bikes.
