I'll take that spot on the trailer and can offer to drive down with my car (Impala) to carry gear..

Yup...That's in the works. If things go my way, I should have a new enclosed trailer for Xmas or before.
We'll all have a sit down over coffee to figure out how everything will work overall.

I'd be down with camping. Just need to get a portable heater maybe. I'll have a real quiet generator so it can be electric. Oh..snap...I have a good electric one I used at shanny. Just depends on the weather. It would be good to camp in the middle of Feb though...... I would like to not have to take down and set up every day.

FYI .. a meeting of everyone that is interested and is confirmed would be a good idea.

Secondly .. if your bike is loaded into the trailer, you will be responsible for gas and trailer rental fee. That number will vary on how many bikes are loaded etc ..

Since i will be cutting across the city .. picking up bikes along the 401 corridor maybe possible. But im not dragging the trailer downtown .. sorry.

As for length of trip .. it will be just a little longer to get to Jennings than to the dragon.
More than likely it will be a non stop trip .. done in 1 day .. if i get tired i can switch up drivers if need be.

I hate camping. I had 5 years of that crap with the Army.

Is there a Hilton in Jennings?

I like the idea of getting together to discuss.

Also, why don't we bump this trip up to November? February is too far away

Everyone going, please collect a few 4L empty windshield fluid bottles to do your antifreeze change at the track. 2 should do, but if a couple could get 2 more each it would help.
    System change requires
    • 1 to hold your water wetter mix (or straight de-ionized if that's what you do)
    • 2 empty ones for flushing the system.
    • 1 to store your antifreeze that you drain from the bike from the travelling to/from sub-zero temps.

We all don't need 4 in total. 2 can be shared amongst everyone. So you definately need at least 2 for yourself. (or each bike)
We are absolutely not leaving any fluids behind.

I'm thinking of roughing it regardless. That way, someone is always there to watch over the bikes etc, etc, etc. This way we won't have to pack everything up each night. The first night, I'll stay in a hotel/motel/Holiday Inn (sorry...the rhyme was just there ), but once we are at the track, I will probably stay there. A cot, sleeping bag, silent geny ( I have), space heater, is all I will need. I'm sure that a few more may want to stay as well. If all goes as I plan, I will have a new enclosed trailer that I can bunk in...

Just so everyone is aware, Jennings is actually 600km farther away than Deal's Gap.

With the border crossing and only brief stops every few hours it can be done in under 20 hours.

Haven't been to Deals Gap yet but the map has a non-stop trip as nearly 19 hours alone.

Here's a Google map from Square One to Jennings.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...256836&t=h&z=5

It has it at about 19hrs, 1,933Km.

On another note, bike is fully prepped now, finished fiberglassing the fairings today and am ready to rock and roll.

Just need to get my leathers repaired at IM Leathers.

Bad question I know but are there any other females going? I can't tell from the list the gender of the people committed.

    Thanks
