Anyone here ride a Suzuki Boulevard S40? Opinions? Issues? Pro's? Cons? Top Speed? Etc Etc Etc

Nope, I'm 5'4"
Nice , simple chopper style bike . Quite reliable although some owners have had problems with the cam-chain tensioner and the head gasket . Google "Suzuki Savage Forum" for sites dedicated to this bike .
It's a dead simple little bike, if you're smaller in stature it's a good choice. Don't expect too much in the go / stop / turn department and you'll be just fine. I wouldn't want to spend any amount of time on the highway on a single cylinder thumper.
It's a cool platform to chop, if you happen to wrap it around a tree.
But don't do that.
don't get it, it's a single
sounds stupid with exhaust
poor reliability compared to the other v-twins that Suzuki offers

I had S40 07 for two seasons as first bike.
At 6'2" it was bit small but it was great.
It pulls like crazy, single is great and has lots of torque.
Top speed I got was 150 so all the power is where you need it.
I even had huge windshield on it and it was still flying.
While styling is cruiser it is more standard bike.
Feet are not placed too far forward and you can get on pegs.
It is simple engine and you can change oil yourself but be aware
if you get brand new one they must do valve check at 1000km
and that can cost around 350$.
You can fit sportster seat on it that you can ebay for 100$ for
better padding. Regarding sound I like my bikes quiet but
you can get HD takeoff muffler for cheap and it will sound totally
different. There is amazing community around it. check http://www.suzukisavage.com those guys adore the bike.
Design itself is 20+ years old and it is rock solid proven technology.
It has lot of character and does backfire sometimes. It
can be fixed by making it run more rich but I liked occasional bang
I traded it in for new bike and it was so fast gone off the showroom floor
that I never saw it again week later when I stopped at gp bikes.
If you decide to get it make sure to get fork brace and that will
improve handling and stability greatly.
Other than that it is just fill up and ride bike.
Good luck!
