I read about these heated grips, what about heated gloves?(someone else mentioned these in another thread.)

Another thing you may consider getting are heated grips, much more comfortable than wearing two gloves

Why would you want to attach your hands to the bike? Heated grips work very well for me! So well that my hands actually sweat in temperatures close to 0 hah

gloves will warm your entire hand though. Not just contact on the grips. I have grips, never tried gloves, but one day with the $ I'd like to try .

In colder areas, riders tend to use both !

my snowboarding base-layer works well for under motorcycle gear. I actually also have waterproof (resistant) leather snowboard gloves too.

Suggestion, don't bother with Forks of the credit ... It will be absolutely jam packed with grannies and grampas ooohing and aaaahing from their slow minivans picking their way past the hikers and the parked cars of the hikers, and the cops will be supervising this whole slow procession. Did I mention that it will be slow ... ? ? ?

Re: 2009 End of season - Scarborough Rides

just fyi about the forks today:

    Freshly paved, but
I don't know if it's due to the long weekend , there were at least 4 opp cruisers along the street and it was very busy with traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian.

Have a good ride tomorrow and might join you for the 507

*edit - er yeah, bry beat me to it .

Re: 2009 End of season - Scarborough Rides

we are looking for nice couple of places to do some photo shot... nothing crazy... we just want to enjoy the day... and colourful roads... that's it... im not even thinking about cops... if we keep the limit speed and skip the whelees and the power stoppies then will be fine.. ...

    still doing the run...

Sunday 11th.- Forks of the credit

Monday 12th.- 507... possibly a quick run thru Algonquin park will be great..!!!

    see you guys tomorrow..!!!
