Constantly changing bikes
I have a question for everyone. Last year was my first year of riding. I bought a Yamaha R6 then quickly sold it. Had to cancel my policy. Then I bought another bike this year rode it for a couple of weeks and I am about to get rid of it. So its only been insured for 1 month. I am looking to buy another bike. Currently I am with SF. My question is, will they penalize me for switching policies? as this will be my third policy with them, and I have yet to have it for 1 full year.
Re: Constantly changing bikes
switching no. Cancelling yes.

You'll have to get an agent to verify this but I don't think that SF charges a short rate cancellation fee like most other companies do. And if your question is in regards to whether they will penalize you with a higher premium because you don't run a full term, than the answer is no. It's not legal to charge more because you haven't kept a bike for more that a few weeks.
Re: Constantly changing bikes
It's not your third policy -- it's your third bike on the same policy. You should be fine provided that you are switching bikes and not canceling the policy. Now, if this becomes a habit (like, you are changing every month), then State Farm might start to question what the heck you're doing and question whether you are indeed using the bikes for personal use or if you are running an under-the-table dealership or something.
