Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
I went in today to get an oil change, the guys there were friendly and gave a good advice for what my bike needed. When I came bake to pike the bike up 30 minutes after it was in the shop, they had a nice check list made and briefly went through it. What I like most was they simply said here are some issues you should look at, all the things were items I already knew about and was glad to see they agreed. Not once did they ask to do it, they simply stated here's a few minor issues. Basically all maintenance. The main issue was brake pads, and old fluids, plus my chain looked like hell. When I asked if it was hard for me to replace my own rear pads, they said no, recommended I look at a manual, but it was easy, so I bought some pads, took me a couple minutes at home to install, and got them to clean and lube the chain, since it was easier for them.
Also while waiting for the chain maintenance, I asked about possibly going to the track, and was given a good run down on how, when and where. All and all I was really happy with these guys and will definitely be bring my cbr back to them.
I dislike pushy mechanics, or shops that treat you like a dunce because your not fixing your own bike. These guys do it right.
Re: Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
Just came back from their 'suspension adjustment special'. I'm pretty impressed the way they operate. What thowe wrote is exactly like that, they went over the checklist with the person ahead of me (nothing to change on my bike since I did a lot already and Ken (kneedragger88 ) finished what I couldn't do). Suspension adjustment was very quick (obviously can be done at home if you know what you're doing), and I am happy with how it turned out.
Re: Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
it looks like they specialize in sportsbikes, would they service or do they have a cruiser specialist as well?! thanks.

Yes, and how about a dual-sport? All I see out front are sport-bikes.

Parker Bros is almost next door and they do dual-sport.
Re: Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
I saw a cruiser there when I went in...not sure about dual sport.

Re: Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
There really isn't that big a difference between cruisers, dual sports and sport bikes.
No reason why they couldn't work on them!
Re: Pro 6 Cycle gets a thumbs up!
Are Pro 6 primarily experts on sports bikes or do they work on older cruisers too? They are nearby to me but every time i pass by i only see recent model sports bikes out front.
**oops** sorry for the repeat question, i should have read all the replies first.. didnt' realize that 5:12 had already asked the same thing.. lol
