When do you get a trial date for a ticket?
So as some of you may know, i got 2 tickets on the first day of school for 1. 60 in 40 zone 2. expired insurance slip.
On the same day, i went in to the ticket office to apply for a trial date/see prosecutor. Its been 4 months and i still have yet to receive a trial date? How long does it usually take? Where can i find more information about my trial?
Thanks

Trial dates are like puberty, it just happens when it happens.

So if i never get one, does that mean i'm off the hook? Is there like an expiration date? Say if i dont get it within a year, its automatically thrown out?

If you never get one, you will get one that says "you've been convicted in your absence. Please pay X fine, etc."
Then you can get it re-opened, get a new court date, and have your trial.
