Well I phoned Pete's Superbike today and he said that they have been trying to get the new Bridgestone BT016 PRO but Bridgestone will not release them 'here" yet because there are still a lot of BT016's available. He told me they will be getting the BT016 PRO's in the spring.

BT54 18000 km wet + Dry good
BT54 22000
BT57 16000 wet soso + dry hot greasy
BT020 20000 loved them
Mez Z6 12000 (crap > no grip in comparison to others and cupped very badly)
BT020 22000 loved them (was going to BT21 but read inferior to BT020)
BT016 16000 est. scraped footpegs at Shannonville and survived these damp cold 1 degree mornings
Next...? Guess I'll buy based on poll results.... keep voting!!!
Dunlop tires I have had good, Metzler 6's good, Pr2's very good and the new PR3'S EXCELLENT FOR dry, wet and mileage.
The tires you are asking aout aren't even the same types of tires.
You have listed some touring tires, some sport toutring tires, and some hypersport tires.
The 016 isn't even in the same market as a Pilot Road 2/3.
I have ridden on almost everything.
Best sport touring tire if nimble is very important- Conti Road Attack
Best sport touring tire if you can sacrifice a little nimbleness for more grip and longer treadlife- Bridgestone 023
....and both of these are great in the wet and cold, warm up quickly, and are knee-dragging sticky. Unless you do trackdays or live in the mountains, hypersport tires are a waste of $
New, Dunlop RoadSmart 2's.
Very impressive reviews from this tire. Dunlop's 17 year experienced tire tester says they have the outright grip of the companies hypersport Q2's in the dry. And they nearly equal the PR3's in the wet.

They seem to like them. Basically combining the strengths of the other tires. Matching the wet weather PR3 in the wet and the good dry characteristics of the BT023 and with long life. They are on my list. The above tests where performed on a GSXR750.
You cant go wrong with the Z8 or PR2/PR3. For me personally I would avoid any Shinko product. I have had more warranty issues with Shinko then any other brand.

I have seen two tires like the one above and both still held air just gave a bit of a bumpy ride :P
Got over 14k on oem BT016s. No issues with grip in wet or dry (mostly dry though). BT023s ready to mount in the spring.
Horrible indeed :((. However, these are dual sport / off-road tires and therefore not very relevant to this discussion. Polling drug racers would likely yield diametrically opposite results (many swear by Shnkos).
Any bad first hand experience with sport-touring tires discussed here?
I need new rubber next year too... both the front BT-021 and the rear BT-056 are toast.
Have heard great things about Continental Conti Motion tires, and I priced them out for my bike earlier this year at $200-220/set. (My tires are 120/60-17 and 160/60-17 size.) Unfortunately, looks like Continental discontinued my size for the rear tire.
How do the Shinko Ravens stick and corner? I'd like reasonable tread life (12,000 - 15,000 kms) and tour-ability but enjoy the twisties as well.
I saw that one poster liked Conti Road Attacks. Has anyone else tried them?
Hahaha! I saw the blue- and red-coloured smoke shows on YouTube!
Will keep it in mind... the poor Bandit 600's clutch may not like this treatment.

11000km on the Z8 rear & 10000 on the M5 front....& there's still lots of rubber left
