2010 GSX-R600 Trip meter resets on it's own

Hi All,

i just both a 2010 GSX-R600 and in the last 3 days i have owned it...i noticed that the trip meter is resetting everytime i turn the bike off.....can someone help on what could be wrong with it.

Is the reset button stuck?
