Not neccesarily so to encounter a long delay into Michigan, if you enter at Sarnia-Port Huron crossing. I would never even consider a Detroit-Windsor crossing on a wknd, unless you like long delays and manic customs inspectors.
Furthermore, if he crosses at SSM, and heads counter-clockwise, he won't even be crossing Mackinaw Bridge and would instead be heading across the dunes of the Upper Michigan Peninsula and across to Wisconsin. I'm struggling to follow your logic.
I answered that earlier about at least taking a pic of the Micmac bridge and alter his route along the shore.
But the counter clockwise holds as he will not be going through the Windsor Sarnia crossing on a weekend but on the way home on Monday.
Guess we will know when he gets back on line.
are you back?
Dad requested I put it off to do a smaller 2 day tour with him this weekend, so that is what I am doing.
cool - where you heading?
No clue yet, maybe north towards Algonquin.
Have fun - drop by the Shed on your way - some nice roads up that way
